Lucknow: The grand alliance of Samajwadi Party (SP) lacks cohesion among alliance partners and will crumble like a house of sand, or a card house, in the next state assembly elections in 2022, said government spokesperson and Cabinet Minister Suresh Khanna in a statement issued on Wednesday.
"Mismatched alliances and mismatched marriages have only one fate and that is divorce. The nature of the alliance between SP and Suheldev Bhartiya Samaj Party (SBSP) is exactly the same", he said.
Khanna added: "In this alliance of SP-SBSP, the alliance partners have their own separate motives and interests. They sing their own separate tunes and want others to dance to them. Alliances do not work with partners having a mindset like this. There is total absence of harmony or cohesion in this alliance."
"The alliance might fail even before the elections if the interests of the partners are not met, and somehow if it manages to survive during the elections, it will definitely break after it, because people are fed up with such alliance dramas", the minister remarked. pointed out.
Suresh Khanna further pointed out that it is a 'mahathagbandhan' (alliance of cheats), rather than a 'mahagathbandhan (grand alliance) and the people of Uttar Pradesh are fully aware of the agenda behind it and will not allow themselves to fall into their trap.
"The people are and will remain with the honest, strong and work-oriented government of the BJP Government led by Chief Minister Yogi Additional", he said.
It is worth mentioning here that Samajwadi Party's National President Akhilesh Yadav tweeted ahead of the 'mahapanchayat' to be held at under the banner of "Bhagidari Sankalp Morcha" at Haldhar Maidan in Mau Sadar on the occasion of the foundation day of SBSP on Wednesday that "The Haldharpur ground of Mau will prove to be the Kurukshetra of a great political war".
In response to this tweet, Khanna said that it would definitely prove to be the Kurukshetra for the SP and its mismatched alliance with the SBSP, adding: " The people of UP have already decided who are the Pandavas and who the Kauravas in this Kurukshetra and the incongruous alliance will certainly bite the dust in the elections.
Meanwhile, in a hard hitting attack on Akhilesh Yadav, Cabinet Minister and State Government Spokesperson Siddharth Nath Singh said that the SP leader is deeply upset over CM Yogi's relentless drive to cleanse the state of mafia and gangsters and is desperately trying to come back to power to protect them.
