Peace Party chief Dr Ayub and son Irfan booked for hate speech
Sant Kabir Nagar: A case has been registered against Peace Party national president and Khalilabad legislator Dr Mohammad Ayub and his son Irfan, who is a party candidate from Mehdawal constituency for the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls, for spreading communalism.
Apart from Dr Ayub and his son, Nishad Ekta Manch president Dr Sanjay Nishad has also been accused of delivering hate speech during a public rally in Bakhira region of the district, said SP Hira Lal.
The case was registered by a flying squad under Section 125 of People Representation Act and a few other sections of the IPC in the Bakhira Police station on Friday.
According to the sources, Dr Ayub was charged with delivering a hate speech for electoral benefit in the forthcoming assembly elections in the state.
Sant Kabir Nagar will go to polls in fifth phase of UP Assembly elections on February 27.
