No VIP arrangements for my visits: CM Adityanath tells officials

Lucknow: Continuing his signature style of saying no to luxuries, the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, on Wednesday, asked the administration to ditch the trend of making special arrangements ahead of his visits across the state.

“No special arrangements should be made for me during visits, inspections and other programmes. Common people must not face problems due to this,” the chief minister said.

It is worth mentioning that state government had faced embarrassment after ACs, carpet and curtains were uninstalled from the residence of martyred BSF head constable Prem Sagar after the CM's visit to meet his family members.

It was also in the recent past, Yogi Adityanath had said no to a proposal of getting new Mercedes SUVs for his travel. He said he is happy to use the car Akhilesh Yadav had.
