Nine drug peddlers held in UP; 47 kg of contraband seized

Muzaffarnagar: A gang of drug peddlers active in western Uttar Pradesh was busted with the arrest of nine people here, police said Friday.

Over 47 kg of contraband, a car and a motorcycle was seized, Senior Superintendent of Police Abhishek Yadav said. He said the gang used to supply drugs in western UP.

It is to be mentioned that this is not the first time when drug peddlers are arrested. Before this, nine drug peddlers were arrested in Jammu-Kashmir with 203 kg poppy straw and 115 gm heroin. However, police seized 203 kg poppy straw and 115 gm heroin.
