Lucknow: It is now the time of action regarding the accident at Muradnagar crematorium. The 25 deaths that took place after the roof collapsed in the crematorium pier exposed the complicity of officials and contractors in substandard construction.

The police have arrested three people in the case, while on the absconding contractor, a reward of 25 thousand has been declared on them.

CM Yogi orders NSA against accused:

Now, in this case, CM Yogi has taken a strong step and said that the loss of the incident will be fully compensated by the engineer and the contractor. The culprits will be charged under NSA.

Municipal EO, Junior Engineer and Supervisor arrested:

In fact, the police registered an FIR against contractor Ajay Tyagi. Several others related to Muradnagar Municipal Corporation Executive Officer Niharika Singh. Junior Engineer Chandrapal and Supervisor Ashish, in the case of death due to falling of Lantar at Muradnagar crematorium.

The commissioner and IG had lodged an FIR on Sunday night against the builders. By putting inferior material at the cremation ground for Rs 55 lakh. The main accused contractor Ajay Tyagi has also been arrested by the police at night.

Compensation to families:

Earlier in the day, the police had announced a reward of 25 thousand rupees on him. Meanwhile, the families of the deceased blocked the Delhi-Meerut highway from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm, demanding compensation and strict action against the accused. The commissioner and IG gave a compensation of ten lakh rupees to the kin of the deceased, a job to a family member as per qualification, houses in Kanshi Ram Awas Yojana, free education of children and treatment of the injured, after which people left the highway.
