Lucknow: Mohsin Raza, the only muslim minister in Yogi council of ministers in Uttar Pradesh, was today elected unopposed to Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council.

Earlier, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, his deputies Keshav Prasad Maurya and Dinesh Sharma, were on September 8 elected unopposed to the Upper House in the same manner. Along with them, Minister of State for Transport Swatantra Dev Singh had also been declared elected unopposed.

The five were elected in the by-polls which were held after four Samajwadi Party (SP) and one Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) MLCs quit their seats in August.
