Meerut: The sample of Patanjali’s instant noodle was found to be substandard as it contained extra ash content in its tastemaker, claimed Food Saftey and Drugs Administration (FSDA).

The sample of Nestle’s Maggi, Patanjali Noodles and others were collected in February last and were sent for the test, the reports of which came on Saturday.

Highlights:

  • The ash content in the tastemaker sample was found thrice the permissible limits.
  • According to law, the permissible ash content limit is up to one per cent only, but all the three samples, including Patanjali Noodles, failed the test and were found substandard for consumption.
