Bogies of goods train derails, results in heavy loss of fuel

Bijnor: Six bogies of a freight train derailed resulting in a loss of several tonnes of diesel and petrol at Balawali of Bijnor District in Uttar Pradesh on Monday. The goods train was heading to Najibabad oil depot from Piyala of Haryana.

• Lack of tracks' maintenance is reported to be the reason behind the derailment.
• According to the railway workers, the down line has been damaged due to the derailment.
• Other trains were diverted due to the damaged track.
