Baghpat: Muslims of a Baghpat village have extended support to the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's decision of crackdown on unlicensed abattoirs in the state. They said that neither they will consume meat brought from illegal slaughterhouses nor let others to sell.

A meeting took place at Rataul village in Baghpat town of Uttar Pradesh where Muslim community admitted that Islam obstructs exercising of any illegal thing. "How can we eat the meat cut in the illegal abattoirs when our religion does not promote the same," said a villager.

"We are peace loving people." he added.

Praising UP CM's move, they decided to aware people of other villages about the same.

The Muslims declared that they would not eat the meat brought from outside because there is no guarantee whether the supplied meat is legal or illegal.

They said that the supplied meat could be of cow also. "As per Shariya, we are bound for the law of the country in which we live. So, we are with Yogi ji," said Muslims of Rataul village.
