Lucknow: When the game is over, it is just the beginning; same is the situation in Uttar Pradesh where the Bharatiya Janata Party has tasted a major victory in the assembly polls, but all eyes are still waiting for the announcement of the next chief minister of the state.

Despite several names in the race for the most prominent post, the question remains the same, who will succeed Akhilesh Yadav?

With the Home Minister Rajnath Singh and the state BJP Chief Keshav Prasad Maurya ruling themselves out as the frontrunners for the post, the spotlight has shifted to Union Telecom Minister Manoj Sinha and Lucknow Mayor Dinesh Sharma.

If the BJP Party sources are to be believed, Manoj Sinha, whose journey from a student leader to the Central minister is inspiring for the aspiring student leaders, is most likely be the new Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister.

Meanwhile, the other names being buzzed for the post are of Suresh Khanna, party's firebrand leader Yogi Adityanath, Santosh Gangwar and Shrikant Sharma.

The BJP Legislators Party Meet, however, will decide its leader on Saturday.
