Lucknow: A social worker in Uttar Pradesh's Shahjahanpur district on Friday offered a reward of Rs 1 lakh for information on the whereabouts of Honeypreet, the missing aide of jailed Dera Saccha Sauda chief Gurmeet Singh Ram Rahim.

Posters announcing the reward came up in Shahjahanpur town, around 180 km from Lucknow, in the name of Fakeere Lal Bhojwal who said he will provide the money in cash or cheque to whoever bring the information.

Bhojwal said he wants all such babas and their aides to be brought to justice as they were bringing disrepute to real saints serving the people and the society.

Meanwhile, the Uttar Pradesh Police is in a state of high alert as it is feared that Honeypreet might be trying to slip through the porous Indo-Nepal border.
