UP Basic Education deptt website is not updated for months

Lucknow: At the time when internet has become the biggest source of communication and information and the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav is dubbed as the Digital CM, the state government does not bother to update official website of one of its biggest department.

The department's website shows Ram Govind Chaudhary is the incumbent Basic Education Minister of Uttar Pradesh but the fact is that he was changed on October 31 in 2015. It may sound strange but the information displayed on the official website of the department is over five months old.

Ahmad Hasan is the incumbent Primary Education minister of UP:

In the fourth expansion of the cabinet, eight ministers were sacked while nine others were stripped of their charges. Ahmad Hasan was removed from the Health Department and was given charges of the Basic Education Department.

These changes were made on October 31 last but the information on the official website remained unchanged since then.

Highlights:

• The UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav is highly active on social media platforms but he, apparently, does not care about getting the government’s official websites updated.
• The government departments seem to be lacking in the sense of digitalisation.
