Thank you UP CM Akhilesh Yadav for saving my life: Doctor

Lucknow: It was the sensitive side of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, when he stopped his cavaclade to let an ambulance with a critically ill patient pass, on Monday.

The kind gesture of Akhilesh helped the patient carrying van to reach hospital on time and save the life of patient.

"It is very hard to believe that our chief minister is so sensitive for common man on the street that he stops his fleet to allow an ambulance to go first and wait for it. If my patient is alive, it's because of Akhilesh Yadav," an attendant on the patient said.

The incident happened at around 1830 hours, when Akhilesh landed at Amausi and was heading towards his official residence.

The CM instructed higher authorities at KGMU and asked them to take proper care of the patient he was sending over telephone.

The patient was Dr Ratnesh Chaudhary, a general physician who was going to Delhi from Baghdogara via Lucknow.

The 67-year-old Dr Chaudhary suffered a heart problem and got collapsed at Amausi airport.

His co-passenger Ranjit Kumar called up 108 ambulance service to rush the patient to a hospital with the help of the airport staff.
