Barabanki: Maha Shivratri is an Indian festival celebrated annually in deference to the Lord Shiva. It is believed to be the day when Lord Shiva married to the Goddess Parvati. As Maha Shivratri is the ideal day to observe ‘Shiva Pooja’, worshippers remain ardent and impassioned about this grand festival throughout the year. A view of enthusiasm among the devotees about this day can be witnessed at Lodheshwar Mahadev temple which is situated at village Mahadeva in tehsil Ramnagar of Barabanki district, Uttar Pradesh.
