Shia Waqf Board chief writes letter to PM demands ban on madarsas

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Shia Waqf Board Chairman, Waseem Rizvi, on Monday wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi demanding him to shut down madarsas across the country as ISIS ideology is being promoted there to influence the students.
Rizvi in his letter to PM wrote that the children are soft targets as they can easily be mold, he also said that ISIS mostly targets localities with high Muslim population.

Rizvi also wrote that there are over one lakh madarsas in India which are being used to aid terror activities. He further wrote that this reason is enough for the government to ban them.
He appealed to PM to secure the future of Muslim children; government should put a ban on all madarsas.

It is to be mentioned that this is not the first time Rizvi has requested PM Modi to ban all the madarsas across the country. Earlier, he requested PM to change the madarsa education system. He also suggested that madarsas should be turned into schools imparting modern education to all, irrespective of caste and religion.
