Torrential rainfall claims seventeen lives across Uttar Pradesh

Lucknow: At least 17 people died in different places in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday due to thunderstorms and lightening.

Storms led to the accidents in which children also lost their lives.

  • Five people died after Eidgah wall collapsed in Allahabad.
  • Three siblings lost their lives in Saharanpur after a roof collapsed.
  • Lightening killed three workers on a railway track in Pilibhit.
  • Six people lost their lives in Moradabad and Varanasi in accidents.

According to weather forecast-

  • Heavy rain is likely to occur in several districts of UP.
  • Heavy rainfall can occur in eastern and adjacent districts of Uttarakhand.
