Senior IAS officer UKS Chauhan dies of cancer in New Delhi

Lucknow: UKS Chauhan, a senior 1986 batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer died of cancer in New Delhi on Wednesday morning.

He was 55, family sources confirmed.

Chauhan, a native of Lucknow district, was posted as a joint secretary in Government of India. He was an IAS officer of 1986 batch of Kerela cadre.

Last rites of Chauhan will be held in Banthra of Lucknow on Thursday, said family sources.

Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik and Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav have condoled his death.
