Aligarh: A day after a video showing volunteers of Bajrang Dal receiving firearms training created a buzz on social media, Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik on Tuesday said there was nothing wrong about it.

“This arms training is primarily aimed at self-defence and hence, there should not be any objection from anyone. It is as simple as those who cannot defend themselves, can never safeguard the nation and there is nothing wrong if some youths are given arms-training for self defence,” said the governor while talking to media persons in Aligarh of UP.

What else Ram Naik said:

  • All kinds of education are important.
  • There is nothing wrong to get trained for self-defence by any institution.
  • One should understand the intention behind such training sessions.
  • Self defence is important and every citizen should be trained.
