CEC on a two day visit to Lucknow to review poll preparedness of UP

Lucknow: Chief Election Commissioner Nasim Zaidi and his team of senior Election Commission officials is scheduled to visit here on Wednesday in order to review poll preparedness of state for the third and fourth phases of assembly elections.

In its two day visit the team will hold meetings with political parties, nodal officers and the administration officers of the state.

Minute to minute programme of the CEC:

• The CEC will meet all national and state political parties contesting the election at 1400 hours.
• Naseem Zaidi and the Election Commission team will hold meeting with nodal officers at 1530 hours.
• The CEC team will meet the Chief Secretary and Deputy General of Police (DGP) of the state at 1630 hours.
• The team is scheduled to meet officers responsible for third and fourth round polls at 1700 hours on Thursday and to hold a press conference, thereafter, at Yojna Bhawan.
