Lucknow’s leading dermatologist Dr Vivek felicitated for noble cause

Lucknow: Lucknow’s leading dermatologist Dr Vivek Kumar was felicitated by the Department of Dermatology, Base Hospital here for his charity game that he has maintained since years.

A National Dermatology CME meet was organised by the above Department on 8th and 9th December 2017 , in which new developments in Dermatology were discussed . The need of dermatological ICU was also emphasised.

Brig Dr Rajesh Verma, Commandant Base Hospital, in an emotional speech, spoke about Dr Vivek Kumar's 25 years of association with Base Hospital and recognised his outstanding professionalism and leadership.

He spoke about Dr Vivek's contribution to the society. Dr Vivek has been doing free charity clinics everyday of the week, before his private practice, for the past 25 years.

Dr Rajesh also emphasised that Faculty of Dermatology Department greatly values the contribution made by Dr Vivek Kumar in departmental teaching and learning sessions every Friday for last 25 years.

Dr Vivek was given a standing ovation for his tremendous work in the past years.

His charity game is getting stronger day by day and he has no plans of stopping.

He wants to help reduce the suffering that patients often had to go through with a hope that his act would inspire other well-off people. To do the same, Dr Vivek is not an usual superhero but could be called so as he is helping those who might not have been able to afford the treatment.

His well doings for the noble cause of helping poor patients get treatment with zero consultation fees and almost free medicines and that too in the rural areas are acting as a boon for them.
