Lucknow: Schools from Class 1 to Class 8 to reopen from Jan 13

Lucknow: The Basic Education Council on Thursday ordered to reopen the Lucknow schools from Class 1^st to Class 8^th in the district from January 13, stated an official notification issued by the board.

The decision to reopen all the public, CBSE, ICSE, aided, unaided and recognised schools was passed by Lucknow basic education officer (BSA) Praveen Mani Tripathi in view of the improved weather conditions in the Uttar Pradesh capital and the loss of children's education.

The Basic Education Council has directed the Lucknow schools to function from 10 am to 2 pm.

Earlier, Lucknow District Magistrate Satyendra Singh had passed an order to close the schools from Class 1^st to Class 8^th till January 14 due to chilling weather in Lucknow.
