Lucknow: One of the leading restaurant chains in the Uttar Pradesh capital, Royal Cafe, has been caught in major service tax evasion, reported the sources on Tuesday.

A 45-member team of Commercial Taxes department conducted a raid at six places in the state capital.

The raid was carried out on instructions of a high ranked official of the department. The sources said that the service tax evasion was of worth nearly Rs 1 crore.
