Lucknow records Toxic Air Quality; AQI level at very bad position

The air of the capital Lucknow is becoming increasingly toxic. In the last 24 hours, the air quality index of Lucknow has increased to 332 as compared to 316 earlier.

Lucknow: The air of Lucknow, the capital of UP, is becoming increasingly poisonous. In the last 24 hours, the air quality index of Lucknow has increased to 332, compared to 316 earlier. When the figures of this AQI falling in the category of very bad came to the fore, the State Pollution Control Board started warnings and conducted raids.

Poor Air quality in Lucknow:

Regional pollution control officer Ramkaran said that inspection of about 26 industries found violations of air pollution standards in 13. While 06 construction agencies were also found to violate pollution standards.

He informed that the Pollution Board has issued show cause notices to all these 06 construction agencies and 13 industries and have summoned the reply in 15 days. He said that all these premises will undergo surprise inspection again and in case of violation of standards of air pollution, along with financial penalty, other legal action will be taken.

Meanwhile, Indian Institute of Toxicology Research also released the report on air quality survey conducted in 09 residential, commercial and industrial areas of the capital Lucknow on Tuesday.

The residential areas included Aliganj, Vikas Nagar, Indira Nagar and Gomti Nagar areas. While the commercial areas included Charbagh, Alambagh, Aminabad and Chek, and the industrial area included Amausi.

The report states that the amount of PM10 and PM2.5 particles in the air has exceeded. I recorded in the national ambient air quality standard. A quantitative increase of 9.6 was observed in PM 10 and 20.6 in PM 2.5. After monsoon as compared to pre-monsoon measured PM10 and PM2.5.
