I will investigate Jawaharbagh case on personal level: A Thakur
Lucknow: In an attempt to be on the ball, Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Amitabh Thakur, who was recently reinstated after an eight-month long suspension, on Saturday, proclaimed that he would visit Jawaharbagh in Mathura to investigate the matter on a personal level.
“I will soon pay a visit to Mathura and try to investigate the case personally. My aim is to get the prime culprits punished,” said a Facebook post by Thakur.

Highlights:
- It is believed by the sources that Thakur’s visit to Mathura can reveal some facts that the Uttar Pradesh government is trying to conceal.
- The officer was suspended by the UP government in July, 2015 on corruption and indiscipline charges.
- Earlier, he had lodged a complaint alleging Mulayam Singh Yadav, the ruling Samajwadi Party chief, of threatening him in a telephonic conversation.
