Green Corridor created to shift Navneet Sehgal to Medanta hospital

Lucknow: A Green Corridor was created by traffic authorities between King George Medical University (KGMU) and the airport on Saturday to shift Principal Secretary, Information and CEO of UP Expressway Industrial Authority (UPEIDA) Navneet Sehgal to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram for further treatment. He was admitted to trauma centre after he got injured in a road accident in Unnao district, about 50 kms from the state capital,on Friday.

He was accompanied by senior doctors of the King George Medical University (KGMU). The decision of shifting him to Medanta was taken after consulting with his family members.

What hospital authorities said:

  • Vice Chancellor of KGMU Ravikant said that Sehgal was out of danger and in conscious state.
  • "We worked hard and as a result of that he is fully conscious. He is recognising and talking. It the personal choice of his family members to shift him to another hospital," he said.

He has suffered injury of his face and multiple fractures.

Sehgal's driver is also in critical condition and kept on ventilator in KGMU.
