Lucknow: It took 12 hours for Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav to rectify a spelling mistake on his facebook post but surprisingly the other spelling was not rectified.

Akhilesh, on Friday, posted his picture welcoming Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Gorakhpur, where the PM laid the foundation stone of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), with a caption ‘Today at Gorakhpur where we gave land for AIMS, free of cost. Land for AIMS at Raibareli was also given free of cost by UP Government’.

In a hurry to take credit of the land given to the Central government for AIIMS, the Chief Minister wrote spelling of AIIMS as ‘AIMS’. The spelling of AIIMS was corrected after few hours but the parliamentary constituency of AICC chief Sonia Gandhi—Rae Bareli, is still spelled as ‘Raibareli’.

The verified facebook account of Akhilesh has over 3.3 million followers.
