Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Director General of Police Sulkhan Singh is likely to get three months extension, following the recommendations of Yogi Government.

It is reliably learnt that the UP government has sent its recommendations to the Centre on Tuesday last. The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) is likely to hold a meeting is this regard on Wednesday afternoon.

It is worth mentioning that Singh will be demitting the office on September 30. It is, however, expected that Singh will get an extension which means the state will get its new DGP in new year.

Sulkhan Singh is a 1980 batch IPS officer. He is the senior most IPS officer across Uttar Pradesh.
