CM Akhilesh Yadav announces compensation for Pampore Martyrs

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has announced a financial assistance of Rs 20 lakh each to the families of the five CRPF Jawans from the state, who were martyred in a terrorist attack in Pampore district of Jammu and Kashmir.

The Chief Minister has and said that the bravery with which the valiant CRPF troopers fought with the terrorists was commendable and also assured all possible help to the families of martyred officers.

“The country saluted the bravery of the soldiers,” he said.

It may be mentioned that a CRPF vehicle was attacked in Pampore district of Jammu and Kashmir killing eight soldiers out of which five belonged to the state of Uttar Pradesh.

The martyred soldiers were:

  • Mr. Kailash Kumar Yadav (Unnao)
  • Mr. Sanjay Kumar (Jaunpur)
  • Mr. Veer Singh (Firozabad)
  • Mr. Satish Chandra (Meerut)
  • Mr. Rajesh Kumar (Allahabad)
