Akhilesh protecting BSP leaders under Mayawati pressure: Swati

Lucknow: Levelling direct allegation on the Akhilesh Yadav led Uttar Pradesh government, Swati Singh, the wife of arrested former BJP leader Dayashankar Singh said it was sheltering Naseemuddin Siddiqui and other senior leaders of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) under the pressure of Mayawati.

“I fail to understand about the nexus between SP and BSP, which is evident by police inaction against BSP leaders even after Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) was slapped against them,” Swati Singh fumes at a press conference in Lucknow on Wednesday.

What else she said:

• Dayashankar has got the punishment for his deeds.
• Dayashankar has been denied bail after repeated attempts.
• I have provided police the CDs of Naseemuddin Siddiqui speaking foul about my minor daughter.
• The police are doing nothing on this issue and are sheltering the leaders.

Mayawati has no right to speak on women’s issue:

“The BSP chief has no moral right to speak on the issue of Bulandshahr gang rape case. When, being a lady, she failed to stop her party men from using deprecatory remarks against me, my daughter and my mother-in-law,” Swati maintained.

She should take stringent action against her leaders same as the BJP took my husband Dayashankar Singh.
