Lucknow: Raj Kishore Singh ,who was the only minister in the Akhilesh government in Uttar Pradesh who was not taken back ,may desert his parent organisation, Samajwadi Party, and join the Bahujan Samaj Party.

Singh was sacked by the party along with Gayatri Prasad Prajapati but the latter was re-inducted into the ministry shortly thereafter, although he has not been offered the same portfolio-- mines and minerals. With this kind of humiliation Singh had no option but to seek another option. He may go to the BSP because he has been associated with the party t in the past.

The party which has faced the maximum desertion in recent weeks will find some relief if he comes to its fold.

On the other hand, there is speculation about former city mayor Akhilesh Das who has been a party hopper and associated with once with the Congress and then with the BSP may join the Bhartiya Janta Party. Some other former BSP members too have joined the BJP hoping that the party will do better in the coming election due to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, whose stocks have gone up following surgical strike across the Indo-Pak border.

On the eve of election such developments are common and therefore the ruling party , SP, may not take it seriously.
