The Khelo India University Games (KIUG) is an annual sporting extravaganza organized by the Government of India with the aim of promoting sports culture and encouraging young athletes at the university level. The 2023 edition of KIUG is being conducted across four cities in UP including Lucknow. These games have are being conducted with the active support and participation of National Cadet Corps (NCC) in various aspects of the Games including technical conduct and management of the games. More than 100 cadets of NCC Group Lucknow are participating in KIUG at Lucknow. The role of these NCC cadets is in the Game Technical Conduct Committee (GTCC), athlete attendance verification, the Games Management System, and general volunteer duties.

Game Technical Conduct Committee (GTCC): The Game Technical Conduct Committee plays a crucial role in ensuring fair play and adherence to rules and regulations throughout the Khelo India University Games. The NCC's involvement in the GTCC involves overseeing the technical aspects of different sporting events. The NCC Cadets with their expertise and experience, contribute to maintaining discipline, conducting inspections, supervising technicalities such as equipment checks, venue setup, and the implementation of game rules.

Attendance and Verification of Athletes: The attendance and verification of athletes is an essential task that requires meticulous coordination. The NCC Cadets assist in managing this process by cross-checking the athletes' registration details, verifying their identity, and ensuring that all necessary documentation is in place. Their involvement helps maintain the integrity of the competition by confirming that only eligible athletes compete in the games.

Games Management System: The Games Management System acts as the backbone of the Khelo India University Games, encompassing various technological tools for effective management and administration. The NCC Cadets contribute to the system's functioning by managing the tally of game results, updating scores, and maintaining the medal tally. This responsibility includes timely and accurate recording of wins, losses, and tie-breakers, enabling the smooth progress of the overall competition.

General Volunteers: Apart from their specific roles in the GTCC and Games Management System, The NCC volunteers also contribute to general duties associated with the Khelo India University Games. These duties may include crowd management, venue setup, logistical support, transportation assistance, and various administrative tasks. NCC volunteers work alongside other general volunteers to ensure the smooth conduct of the event and provide an enriching experience for the participating athletes.

The Khelo India University Games 2023 are witnessing the active participation of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) in various aspects of the event's technical conduct and game management.
