Kanpur: Sanitary napkins were distributed to over 1000 girl students of three colleges in Kanpur on Wednesday.

Students from class 6 to 12 from Mayadevi Inter College and Khalsa Inter College gathered at Arya Kanya Inter College in Govindpuri, to participate in the health awareness programme initiated by the state government.

  • Over 1,000 girls' college students were given packs of sanitary napkins under a women’s health programme conducted by the UP government.
  • Students of three colleges gathered at Arya Kanya Inter College to participate in the health awareness programme.
  • The district inspector of schools (DIOS), Sangeeta Yadav, also attended the event.
  • Yadav explained health benefits of sanitary napkins to the students.
