Petition filed against JNUSU president Kanhaiya in Kanpur

Kanpur: A petition was filed against against the professor of Jawahar Lal Nehru Univiersity Student Union (JNUSU) Kanhaiyaa Kumar and Professor Nivedita Menon for making a controversial statement on Indian army at the Chief Judicial Magistrate court of Kanpur.

Petitioner Harsh Kumar in his petition has pleaded to a register a case against them under section 505 (1) of the Indian Panel Code (IPC).

It may be mentioned that Kanhaiya recently said that army men rape Kashmiri women.
