A child had a providential  escape from death in a Kanpur hospital

Kanpur: If the God is in your side, anything is possible. This is how an incident in a hospital here is being described, by religious-minded people. The incident has been recorded in a close-circuit-television-camera installed in the hospital.

The camera footage showed on Monday that an 18- day-old baby has been lifted from the bed by a woman and is being thrown down . The woman is her aunt and the purpose allegedly was to kill the newly born male child.

The reason is more shocking. The woman was in fit of a rage seeing the male child of a close relative, her husband’s brother’s wife. Since she had no male child and only three daughters, she could not bear the sight, after arrival in the hospital ward.

Instead of falling down and hitting the floor, the child was held by a net created for some other purpose thirty feet below. in an adjoining building. A ward boy noticed , jumped down and saved him. In the process, the saviour fractured his leg. He has no regrets.

The family hails from Kanauj district in the state.
