Jhansi: Dubbing Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav as 'discourteous' , 'casteist' and 'arrogant' ,the Union Minister and vocal BJP leader Uma Bharti has said that the former did not respond to her eight phone calls and even emails.
" I wanted to speak to him about the woes of the poor farmers of Bundelkhand but he did not have the civility to speak to me even once,''She told reporters here on Saturday evening. Adding, " I am no ordinary person. I was also the chief minister of Madhya Pradesh at the same time when Akhilesh's father was CM of Uttar Pradesh."
Ms Bharti did not spare former UP chief minister Mayawati terming her and Akhilesh as 'Ghamandi (arrogant )' leaders. They could only think about certain castes but not about the poor people because they always formed government on the basis of few castes, she remarked.
'' It pertains to your culture and you may humiliate me but do not ignore the cause of poor,'' Ms Bharti further commented.
