IMD issues Yellow alert for heavy rains in parts of Uttar Pradesh

As per the alert issued by the Meteorological Center in Lucknow, there is a possibility of thunderstorms, strong winds, gusts, and light to moderate rainfall in most parts of the state on Friday as well.

Once again, the weather in Uttar Pradesh is showing signs of change. The scorching heat and blistering sun have given some respite to people through light rainfall. On Thursday, there was rain in several parts of the state, including Noida and Ghaziabad. During this time, there were also strong gusts of wind, and some areas witnessed cloudy skies. In the capital city of Lucknow, it has been raining since morning. The residents of Lucknow have found relief from the heat due to the strong winds and showers. The temperature has dropped to around 10 degrees Celsius. With the pleasant weather, people are experiencing relief. The weather department predicts that such weather conditions will persist for the next few days.

Today's Weather Outlook: As per the alert issued by the Meteorological Center in Lucknow, there is a possibility of thunderstorms, strong winds, gusts, and light to moderate rainfall in most parts of the state on Friday as well. In some areas of western Uttar Pradesh, there is also a chance of thunderstorms. The weather department has issued a yellow alert for several districts.

Yellow Alert Districts: Agra, Aligarh, Ambedkar Nagar, Amethi, Amroha, Auraiya, Ayodhya, Azamgarh, Badaun, Baghpat, Bahraich, Ballia, Balrampur, Banda, Barabanki, Bareilly, Basti, Bijnor, Bulandshahr, Chandauli, Chitrakoot, Deoria, Etah, Etawah, Farrukhabad, Fatehpur, Firozabad, G.B. Nagar, Ghaziabad, Ghazipur, Gonda, Gorakhpur, Hamirpur, Hapur, Hardoi, Hathras, Jalaun, Jaunpur, Jhansi, Kannauj, Kanpur Dehat, Kanpur Nagar, Kasganj, Kaushambi, Kushinagar, Lakhimpur Kheri, Lalitpur, Lucknow, Maharajganj, Mahoba, Mainpuri, Mathura, Mau, Meerut, Mirzapur, Moradabad, Muzaffarnagar, Pilibhit, Pratapgarh, Prayagraj, Raebareli, Rampur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Sant Ravidas Nagar, Saharanpur, Shahjahanpur, Shamli, Siddharthnagar, Sitapur, Sonbhadra, Shravasti, and Sultanpur may experience thunderstorms, lightning, and winds with speeds of 30-40 km/h. Considering this, the weather department has issued a yellow alert.
