IAS Isha Duhan cracks whip on mining mafias in Modi's Varanasi

Varanasi: Taking stern action against the active soil mining mafias, IAS Isha Duhan, on Monday, conducted raids at two villages in Rohania area of Varanasi and seized five tractors.

The sub-divisional magistrate (SDM) of Rajatalaab, Duhan also arrested two people during the raids, which she conducted sans police force.

Sources say that few locallites from the village helped Isha while cracking the whip on the mining mafias.

Isha is fond of her 'Singham' avatar in Varanasi and she had launched several campaigns in the past too against illegal mining in the area.

She has arrested over two dozen clay mafias in her six months stint as SDM in the area.
