Four accused of Hathras Rape write to SP:
On the other hand, the four youths are lodged in jail for the alleged rape and murder of a Dalit girl. The four accused have written to the Superintendent of Police (SP) from inside the jail.
In which he said that he is innocent. The main accused of the alleged rape, Sandeep, has claimed in the letter that the entire case is of honor killing.
She had only a friendship with the victim, which angered the girl's family. Therefore, he is being falsely implicated. In this letter to the Superintendent of Police, Sandeep said that the girl was his friend only. So sometimes he used to talk to her on the phone.
Her family did not like this thing. On the day of the incident, the victim had called me to the farm to meet her, when I went there the victim along with her mother and brother were already there.
Sandeep also said that when I reached the farm to meet her, he asked me to go back to house there. Then I came to my house and was watering the animals with my father. At the same time I came to know that the victim's mother and her brother have beaten her.
She was badly hurt. Due to this, she later lost her life. Further, Sandeep has also written that till date I have never even touched the victim, the matter of rape is far off.
It is also written in the letter that we are completely innocent in this matter. My relatives Ravi and Shamu are also being implicated in a fake case. Lavakush's name has also been inserted. He also has nothing to do with this whole matter. All four of us are innocent and demand a fair investigation of the entire case.
The Hathras Jail Superintendent has admitted to writing the letter. However, there is no response from them yet.
