UP govt. transfers four IAS, 70 IPS officers

Lucknow: In a massive administrative reshuffle, the Uttar Pradesh government on Friday transferred 70 IPS and four IAS officers. Police chiefs of 34 districts across the state have been changed.

Among the major changes, Pravir Kumar, a 1982-batch IAS , has been posted as the Chairman, Board of Revenue.

Senior Superintendent of Police, Bareilly, RK Bhardwaj has been allegedly removed over corruption charges. Nitin Tiwari has replaced him as SSP Bareilly.

Akhilesh Yadav government has also transferred four IAS officers including former chief secretary Pravir Kumar, who has been made chairman of the UP state road transport corporation.
