Gorakhpur: Pouring praises over the newly formed Uttar Pradesh government, Governor Ram Naik on Saturday said that the Yogi Adityanath and his ministers have done commendable work during their first five days at the helm.

The UP Governor was interacting with the media persons at the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University (DDUGU) on its 35th Convocation day here. The function was also joined by renowned scientist Dr Shailesh Nayak as the 'Chief Guest'.

The university honoured the 46 meritorious students for scoring great marks in the 2015-16 examinations. The honoured students include 33 girls and 13 boys. Apart from the honour, the topper students of six different courses were awarded gold medal by the Governor.

What else Governor Ram Naik said?

  • UP CM Yogi Adityanath has taken command of the government.
  • People have shown faith in him and I hope Yogi ji succeeds in fulfilling the expectations of the public.
  • The government's first concern is the law and order situation of the state.
  • All the steps his government is undertaking are being closely monitored by lakhs of people of the state.
  • After becoming the Chief Minister of the state, the steps taken by Yogi Adityanath has done a commendable job in the past 4-5 days.
  • Everyone should abide by the order passed by the Supreme Court on Ram Mandir issue.
