Good train derails near Kushinagar, rail traffic disrupted
Kushinagar: The traffic on Gorakhpur-Narkatiya rail section was disrupted following derailment of few coaches of a goods train at Khadda station near Kushinagar in eastern UP on Tuesday.
The derailment, however, did not result in any loss of life and property but has affected the railway traffic between Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Several trains had to be detained at Kaptanganj station in UP and some stations in Bihar due to blockage of rail lines.
Railway officials of North Eastern Railway have rushed to the spot and the arrangement were being made to clear the route, NER sources said. The route will be cleared by Tuesday evening, they added.
Some train may be diverted due to this but the traffic will be nromalised soon, according to sources.
