Gold and Silver Prices: Gold Drops by INR 400, Silver Falls by INR 1400 in UP

Gold and silver prices in Uttar Pradesh have seen a significant drop, bringing relief to buyers. On Saturday, gold prices fell by INR 400, while silver prices dropped by INR 1400 per kilogram. These changes have made it an opportune moment to purchase these precious metals.

In the Lucknow bullion market, gold prices decreased for the second consecutive day. On Saturday, 24-carat gold saw a drop of INR 490, bringing its price to INR 74,500 per 10 grams. Similarly, 22-carat gold fell by INR 450, reaching INR 68,300 per 10 grams. Previously, on Friday, 24-carat gold had decreased by INR 160, priced at INR 74,990 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold had dropped by INR 150, priced at INR 68,750 per 10 grams.

Silver prices also experienced a significant reduction in the Lucknow bullion market. On Saturday, silver became cheaper by INR 1450 per kilogram, bringing the price down to INR 93,250 per kilogram. Just a few days ago, silver was priced over INR 95,000 per kilogram. On Friday, silver had decreased by INR 1300 per kilogram, reaching INR 94,700 per kilogram.

Gold prices in different cities of Uttar Pradesh, such as Kanpur, Agra, Noida, Ghaziabad, Varanasi, and Mathura, are consistent with 22-carat gold priced at INR 68,300 per 10 grams and 24-carat gold at INR 74,500 per 10 grams.

To check the purity of gold, the Indian Standard Organization (ISO) issues hallmarks. These hallmarks help buyers determine the purity of the gold they are purchasing. For instance, 24-carat gold jewelry is marked with 999, 23-carat with 958, 22-carat with 916, 21-carat with 875, and 18-carat with 750. These numbers indicate the purity of the gold.
