Lucknow: As many as five IPS officers from Uttar Pradesh have got postings in the Government of India in Central Armed Police Force (CAPF).

ADG Md Javed Akhtar, DS Chauhan and Subhash Chandra have been appointed as the Inspector General (IG) in Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).

While Additional Director General (ADG) Mukul Goel and IG DK Thakur have been appointed as IG BSF.

The state government has been requested to relieve these officers immediately to enable them to take up their new assignment at the Centre.

Also, three IAS officers - Arun Singhal (Principal Secretary Planning), Muthu Kumara Swamy (Special Secretary to CM) and Amit Kumar Ghosh (MD UPSIDC), have been deputed at the Centre.
