Amroha: District Magistrate Amroha Shubhra Saxena is back with another exemplary work. This time, she has prepared an administrative model for deployment and transportation of polling parties during elections. The Election Commission has adopted her model to be employed for better poll management in the future.

The EC has invited suggestions in this regard from across the country and the model is universally accepted.

The plan:

  • Polling party will be divided in two phases – firstly constituency wise and secondly, in four zones. Similarly, police force will also be divided in two parts.
  • One portion will be assigned the responsibility of traffic and safety, while the rest will be kept in coordination with the personnel sector magistrates.
  • In order to get rid of traffic jams, route map will also be made for the voters returning after casting vote.
  • Polling parties will be told to exit from their intended route and order.

Other Highlights:

It could be mentioned here that under DM Shubhra Saxena, the Amroha district of the state alone recorded 72. 37 per cent polling, and moreover, it created history with approximately 73 per cent women using their rights of electing their leader.

Women of the district had outshined the male electorate, whose voter turnout remained 70.99 per cent.

Subhra Saxena, the UP cadre IAS officer, is topper of 2009 civil services examination.
