Lucknow: The celestial spectacle, which was seen in its entirety from all parts of India, lasted for 1 hour 43 minutes, making it the longest total lunar eclipse of this century (2001 AD to 2100 AD).

The partial eclipse of the Moon was seem at 2354 hours on July 27. The Moon gradually covered the Earth’s shadow and the totality phase begun at 0100 hours.on July 28 and the total eclipse lasted upto 0243 hours.
