Fourth phase polling majorly went in BSP's favour: Mayawati

Lucknow: Bahujan Samaj Party Supremo Mayawati on Friday said that deployment of central security forces at polling booths on the lines of 2007 elections is necessary for a transparent poll process in Uttar Pradesh.

The BSP Supremo said that local police personnel were kept away at a stretch of 200 metres from the polling booths and jawans of central security forces were deployed in 2007 UP legislative assembly elections.

She said, "A similar arrangements should be made during the UP Assembly Elections for transparent and peaceful polling."

Mayawati attacks Samajwadi Party government:

- The recent cases of crime in Lucknow and Meerut stamp the 'jungleraaj' created under the SP regime in the state.

- Only BSP government can put a full stop to criminal activities in Uttar Pradesh.

- People should think at least 10 times before giving vote to SP-Congress alliance.
