CM Yogi reaches Mansarovar Temple on 'Sawan Somvar'

New Delhi: Today is the first Monday of Sawan amid Corona crisis. Crowds of devotees are flocking to temple across the country to worship Lord Shiva. However, due to the corona virus, the atmosphere is not the same, as used to be seen outside the temples on this day every year.

Yet devotees are reaching the temple to celebrate Lord Shiva in Sawan. Meanwhile the rules are being followed by the temple administration in view of the corona.

Jalabhiseka in temple:

The temples are lined with social distancing outside. Devotees are doing Jalabhisheka of Lord Shiva. From Varanasi to Ujjain, the city of Bhagwan Shiva, devotees are reaching to worship Boleenath and perform Jalabhishek.

On this special occasion of Sawan, UP CM Yogi Adityanath also reached the Mansarovar temple in Gorakhpur in the early morning of Sawan and milked Bholenath. During this time, CM Yogi worshiped Lord Shiva in Gorakhpur.

By following all the precautions CM Yogi worshiped Lord Shiva. Today, on the auspicious occasion of Sawan, the Mahakaleshwar temple of Ujjain was duly worshiped. During this, Lord Shiva was decorated. Taking care of social distancing, devotees are offering water to Lord Shiva.

A large number of devotees are reaching to see the Mankameshwar temple in Lucknow on the first Monday of Sawan. Today on the holy occasion, Mahant Divya Giri performed aarti in the morning.

In morning, devotees took a holy dip in Ganga river on the ocassion of first Sawan day. No Mela organised this year as social gathering is risky. Everyone is trying to ignore visit gatherings in this time of pandemic.
