On Monday, a video of Uttar Pradesh chief minister Adityanath abusively lashing out on camera went viral on social media. The politician had received his Covid vaccine minutes before, and was offering a customary bite to the ANI.

In the video, he said, "I would like to extend my greetings to the country's scientists," Adityanath droned on, before twitching at a minor interruption by a person in the room. He then lowered his voice and said, "Kya karte ho chutiyapane ka..." before the video cut off. In other words: "What are you doing, you fucker?"

Opposition reacting to the Video:

Since then, Opposition parties are furiously slamming him, while netizens are using quirky memes & jokes to take swipes at him.

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav was among those who took a swipe at the UP Chief Minister on Twitter. He tweeted a verse in Hindi, loosely translated as: "Please hear the sweet words from 'manyavar' to journalists. But use headphones and away from children."

Take a look at his tweet!

The video, shared by other Twitter users, cuts off abruptly after Yogi Adityanath appears to use an expletive at a cameraperson of news agency ANI.

As the video was viewed by more and more online, the Chief Minister's media advisor Shalabh Mani Tripathi retweeted a 'fact check' report by a website called "Breaking Tube" that claimed the last three seconds of the clip, when the Chief Minister appears to blurt out the abuse, was doctored.

However, Shalabh Mani Tripathi, information advisor, UP CM, has said that the last three seconds of the video have been manipulated.

A case would be filed against those who are posting the edited video, he said.
