The Uttar Pradesh government on Tuesday revoked its order of mandatory closure of markets on Sunday, reverting to the pre-coronavirus lockdown arrangement.

The Yogi government of the state has taken major steps towards resuming common life. Now every Sunday, markets will be opened. In addition, the all hotels and restaurants will be started at places other than the Containment Zone.

According to a statement, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said in a review meeting that markets will now close as per their earlier schedule instead of the weekly closure on Sunday.

He said except containment zones, hotels and restaurants should be made operational in all areas and it should be ensured that all safety measures are followed.

People should be aware of 'Social Distancing and mask'

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed people to be aware of the corona infection. He said that economic activities should be conducted by making people especially aware of 'social distancing and mask is necessary'. The Chief Minister said that all arrangements should be made to keep safe from COVID-19.

The chief minister asked officials to take measures for the protection of health workers from the infection. At the meeting, the CM also directed to speed up development work at seven cities under the Smart City Project and asked officials for a regular monitoring.

1,000 ICU beds should be prepared by SGPGI, KGMU and Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences. He has directed to ensure Covid-19 test of all people in the Containment Zone.
