CM Adityanath hits out at Left, socialists, says Ram Mandir is Rashtra Mandir
CM Adityanath said that “Ram is the centre of our sanatan parampara” and nothing can be expected from those who for their own political benefits call Ram communal.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday hit out at the Leftists and socialists, accusing them of betraying the country. Speaking at a kavi sammelan organised on the eve of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s birth anniversary in Lucknow, the BJP leader said that “Ram is the centre of our sanatan parampara” and nothing can be expected from those who for their own political benefits call Ram communal.

Calling the Ram Temple being built in Ayodhya a Rashtra Mandir, Adityanath said, “During the Deepotsava in Ayodhya, we invited Ramleela groups from several countries. Ramleela group of Indonesia also came. I called all the artists of that Ramleela group to honour them in Lucknow. Also, I found that all the artists were Muslim. I asked how even after being a Muslim they are playing roles of Ramayan characters. They said that Ram is highly respected in their country… I said that if this had happened in India, a fatwa would have been issued.”
CM hits out at Left, socialist:
Without naming Samajwadi Party, Adityanath said those who take the name of Dr Ram Manohar Lohia. But instead of following his values, encourage casteism and nepotism.
Even being an atheist, Lohia named Ram, Krishna and Shankar when asked about the personalities who are the face of our country’s unity, but nothing can be expected from those who call Ram communal for their own political benefits, the Chief Minister said.
During the event, he remembered Vajpayee as a leader who was liked by everyone.

“If you look at the poems of Vajpayee on our nationalism, politics, value or on public life, today all those feelings behind them are turning true… The day Article 370 (of the Constitution) was scrapped, Vajpayee’s soul would have found peace,” he said, adding that scrapping of Article 370 and clearing the way for building the Ram Temple in Ayodhya showed how serious the BJP was for its duties.
